This place accepts cash only. This was $12.95 noodles. I was hoping for a real, authentic, flavorful Chinese noodles but it wasn’t really that. It tasted somehow lacking flavor and a bit boring However, I liked that the serving lady was helpful and patient with me. The atmosphere here was nice, some cute Chinese kids hanging around lol. A lovely family-owned business I guess
Visited Chinatown Chicago, and stopped at Saint Anna’s. Although they are cash only, prices are so low, anyone should have enough change on them to snag a snack here. We stopped in for a breakfast treat. The service was quick, no line. Chinatown here didn’t wake up until later it seemed, when we were there at 10, shops were mainly still opening. My mango smoothie was delicious, for $3.50. Some bao buns cost us only $1.95. Definitely visit here on your next trip!
A must visit if you want to experience a delicious and 100% authentic Hong Kong style bakery and Cafe. The staffs are super nice, just like the aunts you have in the family.
This place may be old, but the service is amazing and the food is delicious. I would recommend the egg tarts. This is an absolute must try!
Been coming here forever! They used to be cash only but now its $10 and up with 3% credit card process fee. Prices are so low you should be able to have cash but with more and more tourists I get it. The staffs are always very nice and quick even if there is a line A lot of delicious and very authentic hong kong style bakery and drinks! My kids love the egg tarts here! Last but not least, the main reason after so many yrs I finally giving a review it is because all of a sudden they offer bbq pork and roasted duck! And its legit!
The sesame balls are 10/10! Super crispy, excellent crust to filling ration; They’re large but a lot of air inside - you won’t want to share! They sold out while we’re there. The egg tarts were also great. Cash only for less than $15. Will be back again!
absolutely incredible bakery! there’s a few bakeries around chinatown and we almost went into a different one, but i’m so glad this is the one we chose. i got custard bun, ham and green onion bun, and red bean moon cake, and my spouse got the hot dog bun (not pictured) and a coffee, and it was only $16. just a ton of food for such a good price. the service was polite, and i was recommended the red bean moon cake by the woman at the counter, which i did not regret! every single item was delicious. definitely a must-visit.
Friendly staffs with fast service and extremely reasonable price. Baked BBQ pork buns and pork floss buns were soft and tasty flavored. Paper cupcakes were mild, and moist. Winter Melon cakes (wife cake) with pork and sesame seeds were flaky, soft, mild chewy texture on point. Sesame seeds pudding was creamy, thick, a hint of sweetness with sesame aroma added was one of the best I ever had.
